Frequently Asked Questions
What types of photos work best?
Photos of flat documents with clear edges work best. The tool detects the four corners of the document and corrects the perspective. Ensure the entire document is visible in the photo with some background around the edges.
How does perspective correction work?
The tool uses edge detection to find the document's four corners, then applies a perspective transformation to produce a flat, rectangular image - as if scanned from directly above.
What image quality is needed?
A standard phone camera photo works well. Higher resolution photos produce better results. Avoid very blurry or extremely dark photos.
What image formats are supported?
JPG, PNG, WEBP, and HEIC (iPhone photos) are all supported. Maximum file size is 50 MB.
Can I convert multiple photos?
Currently this tool processes one photo at a time into a single-page PDF. For multi-page documents, process each photo separately and use the Merge tool to combine them.
Does this use AI credits?
No. Photo to Document uses computer vision processing, not AI. It does not consume any AI credits.
Is my file processed securely?
Your files are processed securely by the PDFSub Engine - an isolated server with no internet access. Files are encrypted during transfer and auto-deleted after processing.
