Frequently Asked Questions
Will the formatting be preserved?
We preserve as much formatting as possible including fonts, paragraphs, and basic layout. Complex PDFs with unusual layouts may require some manual adjustment after conversion.
Can I convert scanned PDFs?
Scanned PDFs that contain embedded text can be converted. For image-only scanned PDFs, consider using our OCR tool first to extract the text.
What's the maximum file size?
You can convert PDF files up to 50MB. For larger files, consider splitting the PDF first using our Split tool.
Is the conversion done on your servers?
For standard processing, files are handled by the PDFSub Engine - an isolated server with no internet access. When AI mode is selected, files are processed through our AI pipeline. In both cases, files are encrypted during transfer and auto-deleted after processing.
What Word format is used?
We convert to DOCX format, which is compatible with Microsoft Word 2007 and later, Google Docs, and most modern word processors.
