It applies computer vision processing to every page of your scanned PDF. The pipeline includes deskewing (straightening crooked pages), denoising (removing speckle and artifacts), contrast enhancement (normalizing uneven lighting), and optional adaptive thresholding for crisp black-and-white output.
Which preset should I use?
Use Default for general scanned documents. Use Document to preserve grayscale detail (photos, charts). Use Handwritten for handwritten notes with stronger denoising. Use Receipt for faded thermal prints with extra contrast boost.
Does this use AI credits?
No. Clean Scanned PDF uses computer vision processing, not AI. It does not consume any AI credits.
Will it change the text content?
No. This tool only enhances the visual quality of scanned page images. It does not modify, add, or remove any text. For adding searchable text, use the Make Searchable tool.
How many pages can I process?
You can process PDFs with up to 50 pages per file. Each page is rendered, enhanced, and reassembled into a new PDF.
